I wasn't feeling great this morning, but I managed to drag myself out... in a manner of speaking. By that time, the shop was open, so I went and picked up my car. It looks great, but it vibrates at high speeds - and a bit at lower speeds, but I only notice it now that I know it's there. The strange thing is that it rides smoothly for about four seconds, then shakes for a few seconds, and just keeps repeating. It seems to happen more regularly when I use cruise control, but it still happens without. I'll call the service center tomorrow to see what I can have done, but that trip that was supposed to be next week may be postponed to the following week, and it's hard to schedule things when they STILL can't get their act together enough to figure out what's going on when.

We got our E-mail and network folders back, so I got back to work on my document between the many distractions. The hardest part is yet to come, and I've got tomorrow to get it done. I can do it, but I don't expect it to be pretty. I just have to decide how to describe the functionality. Also, my network folder went down again at the end of the day - the whole ethernet connection did. I hope it's back tomorrow, or this week will have been a complete failure in every possible respect.

As of this writing, there's still about 19 and a half hours to buy a package of six great games for any price you name. The proceeds are split however you decide between the developers and two charities - go check it out - it can't possibly hurt. Unless you miss the deadline. Then it'll hurt when you kick yourself for missing the deadline.

I have ice cream I need to eat. I think it's cherry chocolate chip flavor.

Sounds like an alignment issue. Did the body shop check that before releasing the vehicle to you?

I would imagine they had, but apparently not, if that turns out to be the problem.

If it is something to do with the accident, you should be able to get the insurance to cover it.

When I dropped off the car this morning, one of the people in the body shop brought the fleet car, so I told her about my suspicion. She said she'll have the guy who worked on it take a look to see if the problem might be related to the accident.

Super...cause you shouldn't be out a penny for the accident since the other driver admitted fault.

They said it was due to tire wear - they rotated and rebalanced, and the shaking went away. I won't be able to test it myself until Sunday, but they said they had it up to 70, so I'm satisfied. It wasn't very expensive, either, so I have no problem paying for this.

Cool...but the timing was a major coincidence

Yes, I'm THAT Nidoking. Sometimes I write fanfiction... often I waste all my time playing video games and watching anime. But it's not a waste if I enjoy it, right? I can quote from a movie, video game, anime series, or British comedy apropos of just about any situation, and one of my main goals in life is to entertain people. (The other big one is amassing as much anime and manga as I can... see below for a progress report.) That's me in a nutshell. ("Help! I'm trapped in a nutshell! What a bloody great nutshell this is!")
