Not a good way to go out

Today's Bridge: Absolutely pathetic. I opened 4H with H K-Q-J-10-9?-x-x-x D x-x-x C A-x, and Keith decided he'd rather play in spades with seven of them to the A-Q. I wouldn't have let him have that, but I thought we were in a cue-bidding sequence to 6H, and he passed my 5S. Genius. We set the opponents quite a bit, but they had a game hand we couldn't match.

Today's Work: I showed the new ADCP guy how most of the system works. Unfortunately, parts of it didn't. Not my problem. That's up to the person who implemented the IA stuff... and she ditched. Now the new guy has to figured out what she did wrong. Sounds like he's already got some ideas, though. That could be helpful.

I'm trying to run King's Quest 7 on the laptop, and it isn't working properly. I think the installer failed somehow. I'm trying again, installing to a different path to see if that helps. If not, then I'll try copying the directory from the desktop, where I know it runs properly, over to the laptop and see if that works. Failing all else, I'll just have to stick to playing it on the desktop. But I really don't want to have to resort to that. Why does technology have to hate me?
