Today's Bridge: Finally, it's over.
Today's Work: We got to test our stuff and confirm that the problem we're seeing isn't ours.
Today's Estimate: The carpenter went out of his way to come over tonight to look at the damage and provide an estimate. The bathroom upstairs just needs to be restored with a bit of wood and some drywall, but the downstairs bathroom wall needs to be torn down, de-molded, and replaced. The ceiling also needs a bit of repair and retexturing. In all, he's estimating $475 and about four days of work - one full day to tear down and replace the wall, and then three short sessions to seal it, sand it, and finally do the texture. Sounds pretty good to me. Then I just have to get the plumber back in to re-hang the sinks. I can't imagine that it will add up to my deductible, so I'll tell State Farm not to bother with the claim they filed. The adjustor is scheduled to come out on Sunday, and I don't know whether it's worth telling him not to come. He might be able to tell me something I haven't thought of about the situation.
More Metroid Prime today, but I'd forgotten about the dearth of save points in the Phazon Mines. I also failed to pick up the super Wave Beam upgrade on the way. Oops. I'll have to go back for that. Fortunately, I don't think it's too far out of my way.
