Today's Bridge: The kings were all gone before my turn to draw, but I didn't see many face cards after that. The only contract my side got to play was a 4S with S A-Q-J-x-x H A-10-x D Q-x-x C K-10 in my hand and S 9-7-x-x H Q-J-x-x D 10-x-x C A-J in Kelly's. The opening heart lead pulled Dan's king, but I didn't want to waste the club entry on a finesse when only four spades were out, so I cashed the ace and led the queen. Sadly, Dan had the missing K-10. Happily, he led the 10, giving me the chance to cash my hearts and sluff my third diamond, holding myself to one spade loser and two diamond losers. However, they bid four in each of the black suits, and each time, my trump holding was 10-4-3-2. They made both exactly.
Today's Work: Mainly getting some debug prints ready for testing later in the week. I can't understand why certain things are happening in the program, and if I can recreate the problems (I'm still assuming tester error until I see it for myself), I'll know what's going on, if not why.
Today's Shows: Terminator is working. I'm not really sure I can explain why, but I enjoy it. Probably the "Would you like a bedtime story?" moments. Not sure I bought the Wizard of Oz parallel from this one (you know what I mean if you watched it), but eh. Heroes... I really don't care anymore. I don't know who most of the characters are, the ones I DO know, I don't know anymore (maybe Matt Parkman hasn't changed... maybe), and if I wanted to care what was going on, I'm not sure I know what that is. Or which things happened in the timeline I'm supposed to care about and not one that's been abandoned. Even Hiro's not particularly amusing anymore. I get it... we're shuffling who the good guys and bad guys are almost at random. but when everybody and his brother (literally) is seeing the future and trying to change it, it all just gets jumbled. I watch this show (sort of... most of my attention is on Final Fantasy 8 or La Tale) because Prison Break is on at the same time. That's about it. I really need to write about my superhero just to tell a superhero story I can respect.
