Today's Manga: Some long-awaited titles and some surprisingly not long-awaited ones. The big find was Your and My Secret volume 2... finally, Tokyopop does what ADV couldn't. We're still waiting for you to pick up Noodle Fighter Miki, Steel Angel Kurumi, Louie the Rune Soldier, and Those Who Hunt Elves... but good start, guys. I also got The Third 2, Gantz 1, Guardian Hearts 1 (not to be confused with Kingdom Hearts, although I expect some similarities aside from Disney and Square-Enix), Angel Diary 6, Red River 22, Yakitate JaPan 12, Getbackers 25, School Rumble 10, Chibi Vampire 9 (and the fifth novel), Gacha Gacha The Next Revolution 7, Rave Master 29, Bizenghast 5, Rose Hip Rose 2, and because I wasn't sure whether the novel would count toward the buy one, get one free deal or not, the first book of a series called Bogle. I have no idea what it is, but the premise could be interesting. I'm thinking it's something like the Mouse/Lupin/D.N.Angel/Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne/other series involving thieves crossover spamfic I was going to do, but more sensible. At Barnes & Noble, I found Alice on Deadlines 3. Normally, I try to avoid waiting in the line for just one book, but it's Alice on Deadlines. I went and searched the humor section for anything worth buying just to have two books, but not even Lewis Black's latest appealed to me that much.
Today's Anime: Gurren Lagann 1&2 collection, because it was two DVDs for the price of one, and because I know going into it that it's disappointed Gainax fans... if they liked Evangelion and FLCL, but don't like this, it must be good. They also had the limited edition Death Note 5, which I bought, and the limited edition Lucky Star 2, which I didn't. It's a shame. I topped off my order with a $6 copy of The Karate Kid and headed for home.
Today's Gaming: A bit more Ratchet & Clank, now that I figured out how to use the locator device to find hidden stuff. I'm still looking for a blueprint... I know which planet it's on, but that's all. I'm also trying to get some Skill Points, but the obvious actions don't seem to work very often. Forgot to ask Mom whether she'd played any, but I was so busy feeling some sort of destructive intentions based on my golf performance that it didn't occur to me to say... anything at all, really. I wonder whether it's really because I'm playing in a higher resolution with a bigger window than I'm used to... more pixels means more room for error on the Pangyas.
