A very productive day
Today's Bridge: New player Ryan joined us for a teaching game, and I got to put some of what I've been studying into practice. It was a day of hold plays in trump contracts, point counting, and extreme luck in a 1NT contract. He seemed to enjoy the experience, so I think trying not to burden him with too many details at once was beneficial.
Obviously, I made it to work, but Brent wasn't able to drive, so I had to drive myself. It was as uncomfortable as ever, but I'm glad I was there today. I got my performance evaluation, and I think it was the best one I've ever had. And for the first time, I felt like I deserved the praise. I also handed over my research from the past few weeks, which had to be done in person.
