I got my chores done a bit early today in preparation for the Quest For Infamy team chat. It was a pretty good time, and I got the synopsis of the plot of the game, which will really help me catch up with the work that's already been done, understand what's going on, and make good suggestions for the future direction of the game. It's a big friendly team.

Before that, of course, I had to watch the entirety of "The Mind Robber". It started with a version of the theme at the DVD menu that's much lower in pitch than the one from the other DVDs I've watched - I guess it's just an older one, since the preview was for season 2, and I don't think I've seen that on many of the other DVDs. I think most of the ones released that long ago have been re-released in special editions. Also, I don't recall Warner Bros. producing any of the other ones. Anyway, now that I'm done saying more about the menus than I probably will about the actual episode... I have no idea what they were thinking. It starts with a rather forced "emergency" that the modern Doctor Who wouldn't be able to do, the TARDIS explodes for no reason, and then it ends with a mental battle culminating in "just push all the buttons", which I found disappointing. Next up is "The Invasion". I also have that one on CD, but I can probably skip it. It has the bonus CD of interviews, but I might just listen to that one at home. I'd rather watch it than listen. Might do both, who knows? Also a bit more Dark Souls - I beat the boss that was roadblocking me previously, although I probably did that last night and might even have written about it yesterday. Today, I decided to go for more of the optional material and a reordering of some later events that I read about. It's a tough journey. I think it was the next-to-last thing I did when I beat the game, and I'm trying to do it just after the halfway point. I've done some things I never did in the original playthrough, but I'd also done some other things before this point that I haven't done yet, and I was at a much higher level. I'm concentrating on Intelligence this time. I let that go the first playthrough and stuck largely to Pyromancy at the end.

Yes, I'm THAT Nidoking. Sometimes I write fanfiction... often I waste all my time playing video games and watching anime. But it's not a waste if I enjoy it, right? I can quote from a movie, video game, anime series, or British comedy apropos of just about any situation, and one of my main goals in life is to entertain people. (The other big one is amassing as much anime and manga as I can... see below for a progress report.) That's me in a nutshell. ("Help! I'm trapped in a nutshell! What a bloody great nutshell this is!")
