The week ended with about as big a bang as it could have, I suppose. I got in at the usual time to get a message asking me what my plans were for a software effort that I hadn't even heard of until just then. I spent most of the morning trying to figure out what the hell it was, then how to tell the software lead that it just plain can't be done in the time we have left. In the end, the verdict was that we have extra time to do that effort, but we still need to get it done. The guy I expected to show up to learn how to do a system install didn't, at least until the afternoon, and that was for a meeting where the guy who'd written most of the client gave a huge group a tutorial in how to work with it. The good news is that I finally did pass off those ticket changes to the intern with instructions for how to handle the Invalid ones. Progress! Also, the client makes a lot more sense now that it's been explained in detail. I think I could potentially work with it.

I eschewed most of my normal after-work activities to play some Lollipop Chainsaw. My verdict is that it's a fun game with a great sense of humor, but the levels are way too long. It makes sense, since there don't seem to be very many of them, but that means I have to set aside a lot of time to play it. I hope my scores improve once I finish learning all of the combat moves. I'm a bit disappointed that they only offer one "save", which just saves your progress and doesn't appear to have a reset feature. A Let's Play of this game would be difficult if you want to show which things are unlockable, but I guess it could be done with a new PS3 account. I'm probably not the right guy to do that, though. I'm terrible at games like this.

Yes, I'm THAT Nidoking. Sometimes I write fanfiction... often I waste all my time playing video games and watching anime. But it's not a waste if I enjoy it, right? I can quote from a movie, video game, anime series, or British comedy apropos of just about any situation, and one of my main goals in life is to entertain people. (The other big one is amassing as much anime and manga as I can... see below for a progress report.) That's me in a nutshell. ("Help! I'm trapped in a nutshell! What a bloody great nutshell this is!")
