Significant improvements on all fronts

This morning, after sleeping in just a bit, I found myself a Windows Vista Home Basic install disc and reinstalled the desktop. Among other helpful things, it copied my old Windows files to a Windows.old folder so I could recover them, and that included a hidden folder that I'd missed while backing up the drive originally. I copied everything back to where it was, reconfigured my drives so they're back to where they were before, and reinstalled all the programs I could remember that I'll need for immediate use. There are plenty that I'm pretty sure I can live without, for the moment. I'll probably have to reinstall some of the games on the L drive, and maybe even some of the Steam games, but I can record and edit LP videos, which was my biggest concern. It was early afternoon by the time I got that far, so I grabbed lunch from Taco Bell and settled in for some old DK64 LP videos for the rest of the day. So, in the end, the great PC destruction debacle just cost me half a day (so far) to repair and freed up a lot of space on my C drive. I can't complain too much about that. I expect I'll still be finding problems for a while as I try to do things I didn't bother with today, but I should be able to fix any problems that come up from here.

I also finished watching The Romans, so next up is Doctor Who and the Silurians. Yes, that's quite a jump. I'm skipping the later Second Doctor stories for now because, for whatever reason, I haven't collected many of his DVDs. The only one I have but haven't watched is The Dominators, which I think I can safely skip for now. I've also got hours of TV saved up on the DVR, but the only one I might be able to cram in before bedtime is The Legend of Korra... I'll save that for tomorrow. Also tomorrow, the big shopping day, including food and maybe some games, and I need to figure out how much the whole trip actually cost me. Maybe finalizing my last LP video if I have the time.

Yes, I'm THAT Nidoking. Sometimes I write fanfiction... often I waste all my time playing video games and watching anime. But it's not a waste if I enjoy it, right? I can quote from a movie, video game, anime series, or British comedy apropos of just about any situation, and one of my main goals in life is to entertain people. (The other big one is amassing as much anime and manga as I can... see below for a progress report.) That's me in a nutshell. ("Help! I'm trapped in a nutshell! What a bloody great nutshell this is!")
