Today's Bridge: We really underbid, but most of the hands I declared were very distributional. I had S A-K-Q-J-x-x-x H x-x D A-x C A-J or so in the first one. I declared 4S, naturally, but I think I ended up taking every trick. Two hands later, I had seven clubs and declared 4C, making 6 thanks to Ken's strong diamonds. In the final hand, I had S K-x-x D A-K-x-x-x C A-K-Q-x-x. I opened 1D, Kevin overcalled 1H, Ken passed, Paul bid 2H, and I jumped to 4C. Kevin took that as 5-5 or longer in the minors, but Ken passed that, leaving Paul to bid 4H. I'd said my piece, so I left it up to Ken to double or sacrifice at 5C. He passed. We only set them two, but I really wanted to go somewhere from that. Even playing 5C would have been interesting, although I lose three spades and can't make the contract.

Everything else today was pretty dull... but I just remembered I have laundry in the washer. Better get that drying pretty soon.

Yes, I'm THAT Nidoking. Sometimes I write fanfiction... often I waste all my time playing video games and watching anime. But it's not a waste if I enjoy it, right? I can quote from a movie, video game, anime series, or British comedy apropos of just about any situation, and one of my main goals in life is to entertain people. (The other big one is amassing as much anime and manga as I can... see below for a progress report.) That's me in a nutshell. ("Help! I'm trapped in a nutshell! What a bloody great nutshell this is!")
