I didn't make it to work today. Waking up in the middle of the night with a throat full of stomach acid and trying everything to make it subside, then ultimately failing, left me tired and with a burning throat that took most of the rest of the day to go away. So I spent most of the day relaxing as best I could and watching the Demon's Souls LP, making meals of crackers, toast, and ramen, and finally making my arrangements for Anime Central. The hotel's website listed the rooms at $999 a night for single rooms, which doesn't seem right at all, so I called them to make the reservation that way. I also posted a new Warrior Within video and got the last one I have for now cleaned up and encoded, so I can post it tomorrow evening. While I was waiting for that, I finally gave Rayman Origins a try. It's a lot of fun. The levels aren't so difficult that they'd be an obstacle to casual players (at least, not as far as I've gotten... about three levels in), but the game offers challenges that give them a bit of replayability and artificial difficulty. I need to try more of the time attacks - I missed the trophy time in the first one by one second on my first attempt and was too demoralized to try again immediately, but my plan for this evening is either to play more of that, maybe give El Shaddai a try, or just go to bed early. Probably depends on how tired I feel after brushing my teeth and finishing this video.

Yes, I'm THAT Nidoking. Sometimes I write fanfiction... often I waste all my time playing video games and watching anime. But it's not a waste if I enjoy it, right? I can quote from a movie, video game, anime series, or British comedy apropos of just about any situation, and one of my main goals in life is to entertain people. (The other big one is amassing as much anime and manga as I can... see below for a progress report.) That's me in a nutshell. ("Help! I'm trapped in a nutshell! What a bloody great nutshell this is!")
