Well, I finally beat all five worlds of Demon's Souls. That's not the end of the game, but I've got enough souls for two level-ups and can't buy them. At least, not in any obvious way. The final area doesn't appear to be immediately dangerous, but I intend to save it for another time. And to think all I intended to do was try out invading someone with the Black Eye Stone. When I finally managed to make it work (right in the middle of an Evacuate... what timing), I got matched with someone who was clearly relying entirely on magic. He didn't even seem to have a weapon other than his catalyst. Granted, he had a spell that hit HARD, nearly depleting my hit points in one cast, but he never hit me twice in a row with it, letting me heal each time. He was healing pretty furiously too, so the fight would have gone on a long time had he not rolled into the flames of the first trap of the level. Then I found a blue sign and decided to go ahead and try beating the boss again. The Blue Phantom sat around for so long in one area that I gave up waiting and decided to move on alone. I don't know whether she went for it and died or the game killed her when I flipped the elevator switch since she couldn't follow me, but that was a pretty pathetic performance. I could have escaped, but I figured I'd try fighting anyway, and I won at the cost of lots of healing items (hardly making a dent in my inventory) and one Soul Level. Which I'd love to recover, but... grrr. Meanwhile, I've published the third Warrior Within video, and the official announcement of my new position at work was today - I'm now a team lead instead of just being a team member. That's it. It's not really as big a deal as I might have pretended it was, but it's a thing. That and some other things may mean long days of work ahead, but that means more time off later in the year, when things settle down a little. I hope.

My package left the sorting facility in Indianapolis sometime this morning - I got the notification around 10, but it doesn't have a timestamp on it - and it hasn't arrived anywhere yet. That seems weird to me. Has it been on a truck for twelve hours? Do they just take their sweet time with the arrival scans? I can understand not wanting to deliver it too soon, since I didn't pay three times as much for "overnight" shipping, but it's an hour away. Where did it go? I'd like to know that it's in a place, even if it's not in THIS place.

Yes, I'm THAT Nidoking. Sometimes I write fanfiction... often I waste all my time playing video games and watching anime. But it's not a waste if I enjoy it, right? I can quote from a movie, video game, anime series, or British comedy apropos of just about any situation, and one of my main goals in life is to entertain people. (The other big one is amassing as much anime and manga as I can... see below for a progress report.) That's me in a nutshell. ("Help! I'm trapped in a nutshell! What a bloody great nutshell this is!")
