Moa: The King of Destruction

Silly news the Wasilla way

Perhaps I was a bit too hard on our soon-to-be first female President in my entry earlier today. I'm sure she's going to do an absolutely bang-up job in the media. In fact, to honor her achievement in walking away from a political office to take a job where she'll be paid FOR lying rather than in spite of lying, I felt this would be a good opportunity to present today's news post in the manner I think she'd do it. So tighten your bootstraps, because it's cold in Alaska these days!

Moa: The King of Destruction

I'm never going to get this video done

Today's Bridge: Paul and I pulled out a victory only because it was a short rubber, and we declared all five hands. Most of them worked out okay, but we got stuck in a 3NT where I just couldn't get enough tricks, and Paul played a 3H where he lost track of at least two suits and ended up off three. I don't think it was makeable, but it was the right contract. Kevin had a huge pile of clubs and wasn't afraid to bid them.

Today's Work: Some stuff I can't talk about yet. It's good news, though, for the most part.

I tried a third take of recording my video commentary, again using the headset that's previously worked so well. I have no idea why the cord keeps scraping against stuff and making so much noise now, when that's never happened before, but it's really annoying. I just don't think I can hold the book and the non-headset microphone at the same time, but it looks like I don't have a choice.
