Moa: The King of Destruction

I nearly forgot how my car worked

It was an odd feeling to drive on roads mostly clear of snow. I pressed the brake, and my car stopped moving. I fueled up, hit the stores, and then ventured out again to get dinner.

Today's Manga: This time, I was aware of the buy 4, get 1 free sale at Borders, so I bought five books. The obvious ones were Sgt. Frog 18, Fairy Tail 9, and Kimikiss 3, so I also picked up a couple of new series that I've been mildly interested in, but never bothered to buy before - Butterflies, Flowers and Four-Eyed Prince. Four-Eyed Prince, at least, sounds like a cross between Marmalade Boy and potentially something on the order of Kare Kano.

Today's other stuff: Now that I've got all the Christmas presents I'm going to get, I can stock up on the stuff I had on my list, like Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks and Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince on Blu-Ray. But those are just the ones I bought today. I also got Chuck season 2 (in a broken case... I might take it back if Curt wants to go back there tomorrow, but it's not so bad that it would damage the DVDs or anything), Mystery Science Theater 3000 set 16, The Final Destination (in 3-D) on Blu-Ray (mostly because I've been collecting the series), and Bayonetta for the PS3. It was a choice between that and Darksiders, and Bayonetta's the one I'd heard about before earlier this week. It was really close, though. I might still get Darksiders, but I've really got enough games for now.

I finished the first season of 30 Rock today, then watched The Sandlot again, for the nostalgia. I wasn't paying that much attention, because I was also using that time to test the Samurai Warriors game I got last weekend, but I'd forgotten almost everything about that movie. Mainly how much the music was a part of the experience. Definitely worth the rewatch, even though I was just using it as an excuse not to have to get on the roads again until the snow had melted off my car. Finally, I started watching The Shield. I wasn't sure what to think at first - it was interesting, but nothing I'd expect anyone to call their favorite show. Then, about halfway through the first episode, I understood. It's pretty good. I've only watched the first two episodes, since they're hour-long episodes (minus commercial time, so just under 50), but I'm enjoying it so far. Definitely a good recommendation.
