The short version

Today's Bridge: I was surprised when Steve, who wasn't sure whether my 4C bid was natural or Gerber, went into Blackwood, and even more surprised that he liked what he heard and went for 7C. Despite a 4-4-4-1 club split, it was makeable as a notrump hand, but when the hearts split 4-3-3-3, he threw away the good one and gave up the last trick. Still, well-bid. We made a few overtricks on other hands, but the opponents didn't take some of their winners.

Today's Work: More work on the big problem... I think it's getting close, but I didn't have time to test it before I left.

The 360 was in Indianapolis when I woke up, but it hasn't moved from there since. Well, they could both arrive tomorrow while I'm actually home to sign for them. We'll see. We're (read: I'm) going to try to wake up early and beat the voters to the polls with time to get my car in for service (if they'll take it without an appointment) and do the weekend shopping. I might leave mine until Saturday anyway, just because I've got presents to buy that can't be bought in the anticipated company. I could buy my usual stuff and get the presents separately... but I want to wait until my shipment arrives before buying anime or manga, to make sure I don't buy anything that's in the mail. I forget things like that.

Yes, I'm THAT Nidoking. Sometimes I write fanfiction... often I waste all my time playing video games and watching anime. But it's not a waste if I enjoy it, right? I can quote from a movie, video game, anime series, or British comedy apropos of just about any situation, and one of my main goals in life is to entertain people. (The other big one is amassing as much anime and manga as I can... see below for a progress report.) That's me in a nutshell. ("Help! I'm trapped in a nutshell! What a bloody great nutshell this is!")
