The miracle of being left alone

Today's Bridge: We cleaned up the first rubber in a couple of hands and moved on to a second. The other team wasn't bidding so well at first, but they had power to spare. After we made a doubled 4H contract (Bruce gave me a double finesse in clubs, making things easy, but I think I had it made even without that), they needed a slam to win, so Dan bid one. They made it. Sometimes, you just get those hands.

Today's Work: We finally got our database in order, so I committed lots of fixes. I accidentally committed one under the wrong number, but I doubt anyone will care. No way to change it now. I even determined that a longstanding problem, which we knew about but didn't think was destructive enough to warrant worrying about, was the cause of some other problems related to recent fixes, and came up with something that looks like a fully working solution. Probably should test it more thoroughly just to make sure.

Today's Gaming: A long God of War session - I got through the desert and up to Chronos' back, starting on the path to Pandora's Temple. Man, it's EASY on Medium difficulty now. I'm skipping as many health and magic chests as I can, just to make things interesting. I remember fighting the horde of sirens previously, particularly in God difficulty... I needed to use Rage of the Gods, all of my magic, and I needed full health. This time, I went in with about half health and beat it using nothing but my blades - and had nearly full health when I was done. Level 4 Blades of Chaos, specifically... I'm not building up any magic this time because I don't want to use it more than I have to.

I've been remiss in posting humorous webcomic takes on the economic crisis, but this one is particularly funny. He doesn't update very often, but when he does, he has some funny stuff to say.

Yes, I'm THAT Nidoking. Sometimes I write fanfiction... often I waste all my time playing video games and watching anime. But it's not a waste if I enjoy it, right? I can quote from a movie, video game, anime series, or British comedy apropos of just about any situation, and one of my main goals in life is to entertain people. (The other big one is amassing as much anime and manga as I can... see below for a progress report.) That's me in a nutshell. ("Help! I'm trapped in a nutshell! What a bloody great nutshell this is!")
