War of the Worlds did it

Today's Bridge: Ken and I took on Bruce and Dan. It was interesting, certainly.Collapse )

Today's Work: I got a few more useful things done. #ifs are key to programming new functionality when you don't have requirements for it.

Today's Fringe: OMG I still has bewbs, and i r the sensative! Is there a character in that series who hasn't yet pointed out that Agent Dunham is a woman in man's clothing, doing a man's job, and being the epitome of sexual equality... which they all seem to think is invalidated by the fact that she was, in fact, having sexual relations with her partner? It might not be so bad if House hadn't been about exactly the same topic. What was today, women can has jobs too day? Are they still openly supporting Sarah Palin or something? And why do I even know this? And the evening's exercise in "fringe" science was just as disturbing as before... If "Justice" was the courtroom version of House, Fringe is turning into the morgue version of House. "Here's some weird medical stuff you never heard of, where we take an expensive gadget and get information from dead people." Actually, we already have a show sort of like that... anyone ever heard of Bones?

Speaking of House, if you're going to drop a season-opener bombshell, that's the way to do it. Bravo.

Yes, I'm THAT Nidoking. Sometimes I write fanfiction... often I waste all my time playing video games and watching anime. But it's not a waste if I enjoy it, right? I can quote from a movie, video game, anime series, or British comedy apropos of just about any situation, and one of my main goals in life is to entertain people. (The other big one is amassing as much anime and manga as I can... see below for a progress report.) That's me in a nutshell. ("Help! I'm trapped in a nutshell! What a bloody great nutshell this is!")
