Today's Bridge: We really didn't have the cards to put up much of a fight.

Today's Work: We had a pretty big agenda with lists of well over hundreds of items to go through. So can anyone tell me why we spent more than an hour talking about a single item on one of those lists, when everyone already agreed that it needed to be discussed by outside groups, and those outside groups all hold the same (BLATANTLY INCORRECT!) opinion on the subject, and we'd ALREADY SPENT HALF AN HOUR ON THE SAME DISCUSSION EARLIER IN THE MEETING? It was like a vacation from DAWIA... now, when I go back to DAWIA, I'll be thinking "At least I'm not in that stupid meeting anymore." It was so late by the time I got home that I stopped at Burker King for dinner, and they gave me a fish sandwich with the top half of the bun burnt to charcoal. I didn't even feel like going back there, so I just tossed more than half of it and had a bowl of cereal instead. You win this round, King... but I won't be going back for a long, long time.

Today's Gaming: I made a poor choice last night - I surprised myself by choosing God of War as my game of choice (I made a lot of choices, apparently), and surprised myself further by advancing quite a bit. I'd been stuck at the Sacrifice of Poseidon, trying to push that cage up the hill. I'd gotten it halfway up, then saved it, so by the time I got back, the hillside was swarming with those headless warriors with the giant sword-arms, and I could never fight my way through them enough to get the cage up the hill. I'd succeeded once, but was so low on health and magic that I couldn't bring myself to save beyond there. The room full of exploding dogs would always kill me. Well, this time, I was in much better shape, largely because when I started up the final stretch, I was pulling the cage behind me, and the enemies couldn't get around it. I got to the room beyond, went back for the last chest to refill my magic, and proceeded all the way to the minotaur despite my better judgment - it was almost midnight by that time. So today, I intended to beat the minotaur, but every time I come close, the game cheats somehow. No kidding - once, when I hit circle for the context-sensitive rotation minigame, it just threw me off and hit me with a series of invisible attacks that took off well over half of my health. I need to figure out how to avoid some of those attacks, but most of them are blockable. The downside is that the fight goes on for a very long time, and my wrists can't stand the constant pressure. I'll probably switch over to a different game for a while, or get some writing done. It's probably a good time to publish the new chapter of FCM, in honor of the recent portable black hole experiment, and because absolutely nobody cares about my writing anymore.

Yes, I'm THAT Nidoking. Sometimes I write fanfiction... often I waste all my time playing video games and watching anime. But it's not a waste if I enjoy it, right? I can quote from a movie, video game, anime series, or British comedy apropos of just about any situation, and one of my main goals in life is to entertain people. (The other big one is amassing as much anime and manga as I can... see below for a progress report.) That's me in a nutshell. ("Help! I'm trapped in a nutshell! What a bloody great nutshell this is!")
