Lesson learned: NEVER take a day off.

Today's Bridge: I believe we won - Raymond and I took on Ken and Keith, who triumphantly returned to The Branch while I was away. It seemed as though the wrong bids led to the right contracts, or something like that... but not many contracts were made.

Today's Work: I got back to about four E-mails all listing things I need to get done this week. Naturally, after I pointed out that they're not as trivial as they sound ("I suppose I didn't REALLY want to take off this weekend"), I got a reply that maybe we shouldn't do things that are too complicated in the final week. I'm not sure I trust that one. I spent the day slapping together a bunch of fixes, and tomorrow should take care of the rest of them, as far as I feel like doing... pretty much anything, I suppose. It's not that they're particularly difficult changes, but they involve changing stuff that will have wide-reaching effects, there's no proper test time, and I have to do lots of coding by hand - either retyping the same line many times with slight changes, or copying lines and changing them. I know very well how prone to error THAT is, and I've been tired. I catch all sorts of mistakes, and the ones I don't catch are even worse.

Today's FF8: I was trying to draw Bio from a Tri-Face on level MD (I think they're rare in that area... I don't think I've ever seen one before), but it used a breath attack that gave Zell and Rinoa Poison and Confuse. Squall had just Drawn, so each of them got an action before he could attempt to cast Esuna on them. So guess what they did? Rinoa cast Zombie on it, and right after that, Zell cast Full-Life on it and killed it. What are the chances of something so stupid? At least Full-Life hasn't become a commodity quite yet - I just plain don't have much.

And I finally watched the second most recent Spoony Experiment video game review video, the "Make My Video" one. I'm trying to determine whether, as I'm 95% sure, Phil Lamarr was "Evil Barack Obama"... and I discovered his extensive list of video game and cartoon voice credits. Avatar? The Jak series? Static Shock? Final Fantasy 12? Incredible! But the listing for that incarnation of Make My Video isn't on IMDb or Wikipedia, so no sighting.

And I'm making the unusual step of watching the first Peach Girl DVD on the same week I bought it. The story has me hooked. What can I say? I'm looking forward to seeing how good an adaptation the anime is.

Yes, I'm THAT Nidoking. Sometimes I write fanfiction... often I waste all my time playing video games and watching anime. But it's not a waste if I enjoy it, right? I can quote from a movie, video game, anime series, or British comedy apropos of just about any situation, and one of my main goals in life is to entertain people. (The other big one is amassing as much anime and manga as I can... see below for a progress report.) That's me in a nutshell. ("Help! I'm trapped in a nutshell! What a bloody great nutshell this is!")
