Surprisingly, I made it home

Is anyone surprised that the weather in Chicago closed the airport just long enough that every plane flying in had to stop elsewhere for fuel? We got diverted to South Bend, Indiana, just long enough to get out, stretch our legs, and arrange rental cars or alternate flights home... except that we had to decide to do those things, with no possibility of getting back on the plane, without consulting with airline personnel first. And no luggage. With about three seconds to decide one way or the other. Screw that. I had to get to the gate at Chicago for a standby flight that claimed to be fully booked and overbooked, but I think they got everyone on. So, after another half hour delay for weather, we finally got home and I had my first meal since the single doughnut this morning. Do I really have to go through all this AGAIN in another three weeks? Can't I stay here and enjoy the once-in-a-lifetime event that's taking place in August to the fullest? Of course not... I'm on SPS.

I may attempt to make an early night of it, but I doubt I'll succeed. I think the plan is to play some of the games I've been missing so much, watch more Death Note, and pretend I've been in Indiana all week. And never get into a Mitsubishi Eclipse again if I can avoid it.

Yes, I'm THAT Nidoking. Sometimes I write fanfiction... often I waste all my time playing video games and watching anime. But it's not a waste if I enjoy it, right? I can quote from a movie, video game, anime series, or British comedy apropos of just about any situation, and one of my main goals in life is to entertain people. (The other big one is amassing as much anime and manga as I can... see below for a progress report.) That's me in a nutshell. ("Help! I'm trapped in a nutshell! What a bloody great nutshell this is!")
