"You know how to TAKE the reservation, but you don't know how to HOLD the reservation. And that's really the most important part of the reservation... the holding." We scheduled an on-the-water boat, and someone else scheduled on-the-water shooting. Just brilliant. Obviously, no live testing. But just running the radar brought our entire system down, one piece at a time, until it was completely dead. We spent so much time working on that that we didn't have time to do much else. We solved a few little problems here and there, but mainly, it was determining that under heavy data loads, the system just plain couldn't keep up. Nothing could. So we gave up. 8:40 in the evening is earlier than our usual Thursday, but we didn't have the usual person bringing pizza, so I had to get my own dinner. I'm just finishing my nightly Internet session while typing this entry. It was THAT late.

Things go pretty smoothly with fewer people in the lab, though, even if we're all trapped inside due to heavy shelling nearby.

Yes, I'm THAT Nidoking. Sometimes I write fanfiction... often I waste all my time playing video games and watching anime. But it's not a waste if I enjoy it, right? I can quote from a movie, video game, anime series, or British comedy apropos of just about any situation, and one of my main goals in life is to entertain people. (The other big one is amassing as much anime and manga as I can... see below for a progress report.) That's me in a nutshell. ("Help! I'm trapped in a nutshell! What a bloody great nutshell this is!")
