It was a pretty productive day. We had a major system crash problem that took way too long to debug and fix, but it led to the discovery of some other problems that should get us a long way toward working properly. There are a few big ones yet, but we should be in pretty good shape by the end of tomorrow. Due to running out of time and money, the teams involved with requirements are FINALLY starting to accept some priorities. I'm sure they'd have preferred to SET their priorities, but if they wanted to decide what was important and what wasn't, they should have done that when we asked them months ago. And when we asked them fewer months ago. And when we presented them a fully working system YEARS ago, although I wasn't involved then. I wanted to get together at a local restaurant for dinner with some of the others, but we ran late. It might happen tomorrow night.

I wish the door of my room closed properly. Between the wind blowing through the crack and the glow of the wireless router, there's a lot keeping me awake at night. And there was a bathmat when I got here - you know, one of those towels that's not big enough to dry yourself with, that's meant to be laid on the bathroom floor so you don't drip all over the tiles - but they removed that after the first night and haven't replaced it. I have to lay full-sized towels on the floor. Great job, (name withheld but provided on the comment card). At least you didn't throw away my spare napkins. They came in very handy.

Yes, I'm THAT Nidoking. Sometimes I write fanfiction... often I waste all my time playing video games and watching anime. But it's not a waste if I enjoy it, right? I can quote from a movie, video game, anime series, or British comedy apropos of just about any situation, and one of my main goals in life is to entertain people. (The other big one is amassing as much anime and manga as I can... see below for a progress report.) That's me in a nutshell. ("Help! I'm trapped in a nutshell! What a bloody great nutshell this is!")
