In addition to everything else that went on today, I finally bought myself a USB keyboard that seems to work properly with this computer. It took me two tries, though... the only USB keyboard that Wall Market had was one that this computer didn't seem to recognize. Apparently, even USB keyboards use PS/2 drivers, but that one had some weird issues. It wouldn't register down and space at the same time, for example, and the up key continued to register after it was released, making Albatross 18 nearly unplayable. I downloaded the driver from the company's website, and it wouldn't install. So I took it back and got a cheap Microsoft one at Office Depot. Granted, it's Microsoft, but at least that's pretty much guaranteed to work with Windows. It seems to do everything I need it to, so I think I'm done buying keyboards for now. I also found a bunch of great stuff at Anime Castle, including the series I'd intended to purchase, Galaxy Angel Rune and CLAMP no Kiseki. There were a few other manga that I needed, and the total was high enough that I decided not to get new series like Hell Girl or Dragon Drive just yet, as tempting as they are. I really do want to see the Hell Girl anime at some point, but I'm collecting that manga as well as Nightmares for Sale and a few others with similar feels... that should be plenty.

Gaming-wise, I went for some classics, like Shadowrun, the original Adventures of Lolo (stupid 9-1 with that damn armadillo), Little Nemo: Dream Master (everyone HATES House of Toys), and even a bit of Secret of Mana, from the top. It's incredibly fun until building up magic becomes an issue, and still plenty of fun until Flammie comes along. Then it's just sort of fun. But that's a long way off. I want to play something else tonight, like Heavenly Sword or Bullet Witch. Something I haven't beaten yet where making progress is meaningful. Hopefully something I can quit in time to finally finish the Princess Tutu DVD I've been skipping all week.

Dinner at Cracker Barrel was pretty good. I wonder why we don't eat there more often. They've got nice portions for the price and good service, breakfast all day, and an excellent hashbrown casserole. It was a good meal for my only meal of the day, aside from a bottle of one of the new Mountain Dew flavors. I got one bottle of each today so I can pick my favorite. So far, Voltage is a clear loser... it's not bad, but definitely not the best. Revolution sounds really good, and Supernova has already passed the test. I may open both at the same time tomorrow so I can compare them better. Meanwhile, time for something caffeine free before bed, like water.

Yes, I'm THAT Nidoking. Sometimes I write fanfiction... often I waste all my time playing video games and watching anime. But it's not a waste if I enjoy it, right? I can quote from a movie, video game, anime series, or British comedy apropos of just about any situation, and one of my main goals in life is to entertain people. (The other big one is amassing as much anime and manga as I can... see below for a progress report.) That's me in a nutshell. ("Help! I'm trapped in a nutshell! What a bloody great nutshell this is!")
