Not only is it so hot that some employees have been forced to turn their computers off and stop working (mine's running at 42-43 degrees C, which is about 109 F), while PW is on the roof again trying to bypass the bad controller (they had the unit running for ten seconds earlier today, spreading even more false hope throughout), but the vending machine's got a bottle of water stuck in it again. One is sitting in the dispenser arm, and one's jammed in the conveyor machinery. Don't they realize that the machine needs to be working now more than ever, while demand is high? Of course not... it's still not a real vending machine. The snack machine across the way is also further broken... the second row doesn't work. The sign that someone taped to it got a "Thanks!" from the restocker. Sigh...

Happy birthday to rhitsqueaky... didn't we just do that, like, a year ago? Also, Semagic failed to notify me of helenangel's birthday today, but I'm on top of things, as long as they've already happened. Maybe if I uninstall the program completely and reinstall it, it'll catch up with the times.

Today's Bridge: Ken was my partner again, and he missed a few cues, but aside from being off 3 in a doubled 4H contract that should have been off two (if it needed to be bid at all... I sure hope not), we did pretty well.

Today's Work: The guy who sets up CVS repositories forgot his badge and had to go back home for it, so he didn't get in until after lunch. Guess what particular action I needed performed today? No, really. Guess.

Today's Gaming: I decided to skip building up some of Keats' new rare Folks and proceed to Ellen's half of chapter 5, only to discover that some of her downloaded quests are HARD. Getting through the Underwater Kingdom using only the Folk you most recently absorbed might not be so bad if only it wasn't an epic trek from the start all the way to the far end of the Swamp of Oblivion. And at every step along the way, you're trying to guess which Folk you'll need in the next area. Guess wrong, and you have to go back and absorb the right one again. Ugh. The reward had better be about 150 Golden Ores, a Rare Folk, and a Cloak that makes Ellen completely invulnerable and gives her unlimited MC or something. Because trying to fight a Malabaricus armed with only Henky? NOT COOL.

Yes, I'm THAT Nidoking. Sometimes I write fanfiction... often I waste all my time playing video games and watching anime. But it's not a waste if I enjoy it, right? I can quote from a movie, video game, anime series, or British comedy apropos of just about any situation, and one of my main goals in life is to entertain people. (The other big one is amassing as much anime and manga as I can... see below for a progress report.) That's me in a nutshell. ("Help! I'm trapped in a nutshell! What a bloody great nutshell this is!")
