I can has webcam

Yes, it's true. One of my purchases today at Wall Market was a Logitech IM Plus webcam with 640x480 video throughput and 1.3 megapixel still capture. It took a software upgrade before it would record video properly, but it does that now, and I've set up a Yahoo Live profile so I can broadcast, but nobody will want to see it, so I'll wait until I catch someone online and try to figure out why I have to open two tabs before one of them will let me go live. Also, the built-in microphone seems to pick up way too much background noise, and thanks to Yahoo Live sound not being so, it echoes many times. I'll probably use a headset for serious online video and audio combination, and if I make a video, I'll mute the computer. I'm thinking of a series of manga and anime reviews of series nobody's ever heard of, like Et Cetera and Hayate the Combat Butler. Manga first, since I can hold the books up in front of the camera or scan images and edit them over the voice track later, when I feel comfortable with video editing. Using anime images would follow the video editing, obviously, and I don't have much anime that people won't know about. Maybe a few. I could do reviews of stuff people have seen, but that would mainly be for humorous purposes, like showing just why I don't like Evangelion much or making fun of how cliché Ranma 1/2 is. I suppose I could show stuff like Angel Tails, Trouble Chocolate, Law of Ueki (although it's hard to recommend when only 9 DVDs out of 11 were ever released), Tenshi ni Narumon (even harder, 3 of 6, although that covers the good half of the series - the only thing you miss from the second half is the shorts that fly on fart power)... it could work. I'll have to see just how much time and effort it takes me to make a video and whether I want to sacrifice those as well as hard drive space to make these videos. This could be where the 160 GB hard drive I got for my PS3 comes in handy.

I didn't actually play any video games today, because I was still watching Angry Video Game Nerd videos. I found an even better repository with links to videos not hosted on ScrewAttack, but Curt tells me the Wikipedia entry has links to all of them as well, so you can find them yourselves. I'm just sad that he didn't mention Thunder Castle in his Intellivision video... that WAS the Intellivision, for me.

Yes, I'm THAT Nidoking. Sometimes I write fanfiction... often I waste all my time playing video games and watching anime. But it's not a waste if I enjoy it, right? I can quote from a movie, video game, anime series, or British comedy apropos of just about any situation, and one of my main goals in life is to entertain people. (The other big one is amassing as much anime and manga as I can... see below for a progress report.) That's me in a nutshell. ("Help! I'm trapped in a nutshell! What a bloody great nutshell this is!")
