Ah, Saturday. Wait... what?

Yeah, it was Saturday. We ate at Friday's, and I ate a bit too much. Shame, because now I've discovered the Angry Video Game Nerd videos at Screw Attack (choose "AVGN" from the toolbar and pick a year), and I laugh so hard it hurts. Granted, a good deal of the humor is creative profanity that isn't really creative (yes, yes, we know... you want to take a diarrhea dump on this game too), but there's enough game-related humor to be worth it. The Christmas videos for 2006 were great... Bible games, featuring "Bible Buffet" which had nothing to do with the Bible at all and "Super Noah's Ark 3D", the only Super NES game not licensed by Nintendo, which has a slot on top for an actual SNES cartridge it can use to bypass the security locks so you can play an EXACT clone of Wolfenstein 3D with Noah's Ark graphics. You have to see it to believe it. The Power Glove one from 2006 was the one I first spotted on YouTube... but I've put my gaming aside, yet again, to watch as many of these lovely videos as I can stay awake for.

I did game a bit, though... more Folklore, and two of the new games from yesterday. Mercury Meltdown Revolution is fun, but I can't figure out how to get some of the bonuses and still complete the level. And I finally understand why people were praising the original Shadow Hearts... the graveyard mechanic is cool. That probably isn't all of it, but the fighting isn't much easier than Covenant, and I barely beat the first boss of that.

I took the time to watch Juno over lunch... great movie. I had no idea Michael Cera AND Jason Bateman were both in it, and having them not meet at all was weird. And I recognized the music from the soundtrack that was playing at Borders a few weeks ago... it's not AS horrible when the movie's playing over it. I recommend it.

Yes, I'm THAT Nidoking. Sometimes I write fanfiction... often I waste all my time playing video games and watching anime. But it's not a waste if I enjoy it, right? I can quote from a movie, video game, anime series, or British comedy apropos of just about any situation, and one of my main goals in life is to entertain people. (The other big one is amassing as much anime and manga as I can... see below for a progress report.) That's me in a nutshell. ("Help! I'm trapped in a nutshell! What a bloody great nutshell this is!")
