I was up at 2:30 or so this morning, thinking the shaking was another earthquake or a very, very, very delayed aftershock. But as the shaking and rumbling and occasional flashes of light continued, I started to think I was hallucinating until I realized it was just a thunderstorm with thunder strong enough to shake the house. My coworker said that it set off a burglar alarm in his house even though he doesn't have one, and not even the quake two weeks ago had set it off. Fortunately, it didn't affect us much, and I was indoors through the worst of it, on yet another teleconference. It's starting up again now, but as long as I stay connected, I don't care. (This probably won't be posted until tomorrow morning, but who's surprised?)

Curt's starting a new round of meds tonight and worried that they might put a damper on tomorrow's usual plans, so we did them tonight. You know what that means...

Today's Manga: Skip Beat 12, Cherry Juice 3, High School Debut 3, Black Cat 14, Dr. Slump 15, Hunter x Hunter 20, S.A. 4, Prince of Tennis 25, Gin Tama 6, D. Gray-Man 9, and Love * Com 6.

Today's Anime: XXX-Holic 2, Death Note 4, and the collector's box for Kujibiki Unbalance. I thought about checking out Hell Girl, but I'm pretty sure there's a box for that too, and Best Buy didn't have one.

Today's Games: We decided to check out Gamestop's buy 2, get 1 free sale on used games. And by a stroke of incredible luck, they had Shadow Hearts! So I got that, Mercury Meltdown Revolution for the Wii, and something called Heavenly Guardian... I have no idea. It could be fun.

And to really highlight how weird today was... I decided to try one of those Burger King Loaded Southwestern Angus burgers on the way home, with the steak sauce and the baked potato and fried onions and everything... and I kind of liked it. I'd eat another one. That Angus beef is GOOD, even when it's made into a detestable patty. Somehow, the utter dryness of everything but the beef almost enhanced the flavor rather than detracting from it as you might expect.

Yes, I'm THAT Nidoking. Sometimes I write fanfiction... often I waste all my time playing video games and watching anime. But it's not a waste if I enjoy it, right? I can quote from a movie, video game, anime series, or British comedy apropos of just about any situation, and one of my main goals in life is to entertain people. (The other big one is amassing as much anime and manga as I can... see below for a progress report.) That's me in a nutshell. ("Help! I'm trapped in a nutshell! What a bloody great nutshell this is!")
