Today's Bridge: Marginal success... we failed to bid two hands that made grand slams, although we bid game in each. It came down to flukes of distribution each time.

Today's Work: I took on the massive shift to our new messaging description - and it was only one legacy message that had changed. I've incorporated a few new data elements, added values to some old ones, and moved some common conversions into a library. All in a day's work, really, when that day isn't punctuated by endless meetings.

Today's Gaming: I settled on Rock Band, and gave the drums another go. I still haven't figured out what height would be good for them, but I'm sitting too low anyway. I've got things I can put on my bed to raise me, but they won't be stable. Maybe I'll try putting them in a box to prop it up and hold the stack in place next time. I sang a bit too, but I need to learn the songs better. I'd like to play something multiplayer, now that I have all these systems set up for it and games that support it, but I never find anybody online. How does one go about arranging that?

Today's Disappointment: My favorite song from Dead Rising, the one I got the album for, isn't on the soundtrack at all. It's not a horrible album, but it's got country songs on it. Real country, too, not Peter Denahy's style. I want Gone Guru, dammit! So I bookmarked the YouTube video. It doesn't do me any good in the car, but it's better than nothing. Also, I misread my incentive award and thought there was an extra zero. It's still not bad, considering it's just a bit extra for doing what I've been paid for anyway, but I thought it was much more. Eh. It's still good. Just not wonderfully great.

Yes, I'm THAT Nidoking. Sometimes I write fanfiction... often I waste all my time playing video games and watching anime. But it's not a waste if I enjoy it, right? I can quote from a movie, video game, anime series, or British comedy apropos of just about any situation, and one of my main goals in life is to entertain people. (The other big one is amassing as much anime and manga as I can... see below for a progress report.) That's me in a nutshell. ("Help! I'm trapped in a nutshell! What a bloody great nutshell this is!")
