PAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANTS!

Today's Bridge: We had the rare honor of Keith rejoining us, and even rarer, it was Paul who had to watch the rest of us play from the sidelines. Keith had an oops moment when he shifted suits from Steve's weak 2H opener, and Dan even doubled the final contract, which was off three. It was makeable, but Keith set up Steve's long hearts, pulled trump, and then failed to lead his last heart to the board. There was another contract somewhere in there where they bid a reasonable contract, but thanks to distributions, they were off one before they could even take a trick, and we still had two tricks to claim later. I think they still won the rubber, because we didn't have a single biddable hand. Any time Dan or I had decent values, the other one had nothing at all.

Today's Work: Meetings can be as productive as you like, but when they take a quarter of a day to get there, it's probably not the very best possible use of time. Still, I'm working on setting up frameworks I can share with everyone before moving on to making use of them.

Today's Gaming: A bit more work on elevators, which still have some problems, but I've got a good idea why they're happening and just have to figure out what to do about them. The console gaming for the evening was Folklore, finishing up the first chapter with Keats (I just needed to build up a few Folks before tackling the Folklore, which was surprisingly easy) and starting the first chapter with Ellen (I thought Cait Sidhe was annoying in Final Fantasy 7, but his Folklore counterpart takes the cake taco). It's always fun to get back on the PS3, but it hurts the forearms just a bit. I need to try Alundra again... I never did figure out why I got stuck or what I was supposed to do, if not go to the place I was told to go to.

Yes, I'm THAT Nidoking. Sometimes I write fanfiction... often I waste all my time playing video games and watching anime. But it's not a waste if I enjoy it, right? I can quote from a movie, video game, anime series, or British comedy apropos of just about any situation, and one of my main goals in life is to entertain people. (The other big one is amassing as much anime and manga as I can... see below for a progress report.) That's me in a nutshell. ("Help! I'm trapped in a nutshell! What a bloody great nutshell this is!")
