Business as usual, but more accommodating

Today's Bridge: Mike and I took on Kelly and Bruce, and while they only made one contract, it was enough. We only even got to put in a bid once, really, and it was a 4H contract that was worth the try, but they had four tricks off the top, and it was only Kelly's insistence on bidding diamonds so many times that gave away the finesse to prevent being off two. We went over the Stayman convention when Bruce responded to Kelly's 1NT with 2C, and she bid... 3S. Utterly useless and does nothing but cut off your own side's bidding. But she had much longer spades than her bid indicated and she really wanted to say so. Shame Bruce only had one.

Today's Work: We've finally got some proper coordination going, as everyone's determined that, with regard to the documents that describe how we communicate with each other, we should all be using the same ones. Now it's up to me to assemble all of the documents, make them official, and distribute them to everyone who will be using them. I look forward to it... but since one of the working groups is in California, their day is three hours later than mine, and I had to leave before I could get the latest versions of their documents. But tomorrow morning, all will be well.

Today's Gaming: Nothing yet... been busy with other stuff, including the usual golf. I'll probably skip and just try to finish the Ninin ga Shinobuden DVD instead. Maybe more Brawl. Maybe nothing at all.

Yes, I'm THAT Nidoking. Sometimes I write fanfiction... often I waste all my time playing video games and watching anime. But it's not a waste if I enjoy it, right? I can quote from a movie, video game, anime series, or British comedy apropos of just about any situation, and one of my main goals in life is to entertain people. (The other big one is amassing as much anime and manga as I can... see below for a progress report.) That's me in a nutshell. ("Help! I'm trapped in a nutshell! What a bloody great nutshell this is!")
