Moa: The King of Destruction

(no subject)

On the plus side, I've been told that the adjuster will look at the car tomorrow and give me the "estimate" (read: that it's totaled). The bad news is that the rental car back to Indiana will cost about $270 for two days. I've made the pickup time late tomorrow, so we'll have plenty of time on Sunday to get the car up to the airport after unloading it at home. Just remember: Enterprise car rentals doesn't do one-way rentals. This is an important note for future reference. Or maybe it was just that location.

I finally fired up Oblivion today... you really CAN get lost in that game. At the moment, I'm a male Redguard Spellsword born under the sign of the Thief. Yes, I know those characteristics don't really work well together at all, but I'm making it work. I met and killed a highwayman in a fort somewhere, and I'm equipped with lots of good heavy armor and what seems to be a decent sword. All that remains for now is to sleep and reach level 2, possibly before entering Kvatch, although it took me so long to find the path that I may not bother. Or I might Travel to a campsite and then Travel back. Seems hokey, but it works. I still haven't tried Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin yet, or Jump Superstars. I thought I'd left that back in Indiana, but it turns out that it was just left in the car all week.

I read almost a quarter of the Order of the Stick archives this evening while working on the MST and doing a tiny bit of cleanup in the massive garbage pile that is my HTML anime list. I still need to see if there's a decent freeware FTP client out there, because I don't want to have to keep typing my username and password and command-lining everything.

And a shout out to everyone at work who hasn't bothered to get an LJ of their own and comment even though they've been following my saga all week. You know who you are.
