Moa: The King of Destruction

(no subject)

Well, here I am back at home. The trip was surprisingly pleasant... I didn't get lost on the way to the airport, although I thought I had a few times, and the worst parts were the traffic once I got back to Indiana (something major had to be happening... that was no ordinary rush hour) and the fact that Auntie Anne's was out of pretzel dogs. So the only things I've eaten all day were a McDonald's Filet O' Fish and the snack packet on one of the flights. I'm going to make some ramen once I'm done here.

A few more things need to be recorded for posterity. There is a Derry in New Mexico, but the founders beat me to the punchline. The next town over is Arrey. And the sign even says "Derry Arrey". Also, someone needs to build a fast food place between Carrezozo and Tularosa. Not that I'll ever drive that way again, ever... but when I didn't have a choice, no franchise came to my aid. And the third Slayers novel cast the second half of the first season of the anime in a new light, unless I slept through something every time I watched it. I'd have remembered a major revelation like that one, I'm pretty sure. Lantz is interesting enough to make up for the lack of Zangulus.

I'll read today's LJ entries and webcomics tomorrow, when I do that "rest" thing. All in all, it wasn't a bad Friday the 13th. I just never got hungry.
