I drank so much today, I'm a bit worried

Today's Bridge: Ryan was my partner, and there were some lessons to learn, such as "Don't pass your partner's shift when you're void in his suit" and "Don't lead a suit when you know both opponents are void." Our contracts were good, but the splits were horrible - in the hand where Ryan was void, the opening club lead was ruffed, and I declared 3D with S Q-x-x H x-x D A-K-10-9-7-3 C J-x facing S A-K H A-Q-x-x D 5-4 C A-K-9-x-x. The opening lead was a spade, so I led a trump to the ace, with Dan showing out. So I crossed back to the king of spades, and Ken ruffed with the six and led the queen of diamonds, which I covered. The heart finesse lost, but he led a club to the jack, queen, and king. I cashed the ace, then ruffed one, catching a 3-3 split for once. All I had to do was cross back to the ace of hearts and lead good clubs, although I could have led trump at any time after that.

Today's Work: I hate when problems stop happening before I can figure out why they're happening, especially when I can't make them happen again. Also, I learned that "perseveration" is a thing. It's not the thing that was intended in the context where I saw it, although it seems like it would fit a lot of our documentation, but at least that explains why spell-check didn't catch it.
