Today's Bridge: Considerably better than yesterday, even though I still didn't get to declare a contract. I started with utter garbage, S 4 H Q-x-x-x-x D x-x-x C Q-x-x-x, but Dan kicked us off with 1C-1D-2NT, so I bid 3H for closeout. However, he wasn't sure whether we were using Jacoby transfers or not and ended up bidding 3S, so I let it go at 3NT. That was fortunate, since the heart split was 5-1 and he had four top spades and just enough power outside to get five more. The opponents made a 1NT and then a 2NT to complete their game, and the final contract was 4C by Kevin. Dan and I had already competed to 3H because I didn't feel like mentioning my K-9-x-x-x of clubs. They had a better fit in diamonds, but ran out of bidding room to safely figure that out, and I would have bid 4H over that and taken my chances, likely off a few. Kevin escaped for off two, but that's his skill with the cards.

Today's Work: Everyone liked my solution, so we fast-tracked it through the process and made the build. I really hope this one passes all the tests with no new problems.

I finally got around to calling the local center for the CPAP distributor, and it turns out that they sent the information to the wrong insurance company. I don't know whether that was the problem previously or whether this is a new thing they've managed to screw up, but that's really disturbing. I may have to call my insurance company tomorrow and let them know, because this is getting beyond unacceptable. I'm literally losing sleep over it.

Yes, I'm THAT Nidoking. Sometimes I write fanfiction... often I waste all my time playing video games and watching anime. But it's not a waste if I enjoy it, right? I can quote from a movie, video game, anime series, or British comedy apropos of just about any situation, and one of my main goals in life is to entertain people. (The other big one is amassing as much anime and manga as I can... see below for a progress report.) That's me in a nutshell. ("Help! I'm trapped in a nutshell! What a bloody great nutshell this is!")
