I haven't been sleeping well, but my mood is improving a lot thanks to EMDR. The second session started by digging into an incident that I wrote about in the past and was planning to talk about in detail, back when I was still writing essays about my depression. (I haven't entirely given up on the idea, but it's definitely stalled, and I'm not particularly inspired to return to writing about my entire life.) It was always one of my worst memories, but when I started thinking about it, I really didn't feel any strong connection to it, and by the time we were done, I felt really positive. It was a bad experience all around, but it doesn't hang over me the way it used to.

The CPAP supply company apparently placed a new order because the previous one was stalled somehow. Once again, I don't have a good way to tell whether that's been resolved, but I'll have to try calling them sometime this week to find out whether they've sent the package yet. I'll have to go in to work tomorrow, so it's not likely that I'll have the time to do that.

I got together with Curt and Brent this afternoon for some three-player gaming. We played a round of Boss Monster where Brent came out on top, a game of Vast the Crystal Cavern where Curt's Goblins just made it before the cave-in, and two rounds of Dominion. Curt won the first one with the original and Alchemy - I went for Transmute, which didn't work well when Gardens and Philosopher's Stone were in play, and I twice came in at one card less than what I needed to reach the next point. I also failed to get enough Markets. We played a round of Adventures after that, though, and I found an effective strategy that the others couldn't copy quickly enough. We had Miser in play, which is always game-breaking because it gets Coppers out of your deck but becomes more powerful with each one. Then we had Ratcatcher to trash the starting Estates and Royal Carriage to replay any action - so I could Miser a coin away and then claim the money, or claim the money twice to double it if I needed that much. It got to the point where Silvers were starting to get in my way. Then I bought an early Swamp Hag just to make things a bit less convenient for the other two and a Relic to REALLY screw with them - every time I played that, I got two coins and the other two had to deal with drawing one less card the next time they drew cards. They didn't have a chance to buy Relics of their own because I was already snapping up Provinces by that point, although by the end, my tiny deck was so saturated with Provinces that I never had enough money to do anything useful. I was already far enough ahead that they couldn't catch up. We ordered delivery and then went our separate ways, but we enjoyed the evening enough to want to do it again sometime.

Yes, I'm THAT Nidoking. Sometimes I write fanfiction... often I waste all my time playing video games and watching anime. But it's not a waste if I enjoy it, right? I can quote from a movie, video game, anime series, or British comedy apropos of just about any situation, and one of my main goals in life is to entertain people. (The other big one is amassing as much anime and manga as I can... see below for a progress report.) That's me in a nutshell. ("Help! I'm trapped in a nutshell! What a bloody great nutshell this is!")
