Today's Manga: Most of my Amazon order arrived, filling in some gaps in my collection and finishing quite a few series that I just haven't found anywhere. The Sacred Blacksmith 10 (the last one), Inuyashiki 5 and 7 (6 will be arriving in a few weeks), Umineko End of the Golden Witch book 3, Shoulder-a-Coffin Kuro 5, Sunshine Sketch 8 (7 is on its way), Interviews With Monster Girls 5, Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches 9-12 and 14 (there was no page for ordering 13, so I have no idea what's up with that), Freezing 15-16, Arata the Legend 24, Natsume's Book of Friends 20, Air Gear 32-33, Arisa 10-12 (completing the series), Magical Girl Apocalypse 11, Itsuwaribito 18-20, Nurse Hitomi's Monster Infirmary 6, Oresama Teacher 17-22, Cage of Eden 19-21 (completing the series), Hayate the Combat Butler 27 and 29 (28 was delayed for some reason along with Natsume 19), The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi-chan 7 and 8, Cat Paradise 3-5 (completing the series), The Seven Deadly Sins 16 and 18-19, and The Wallflower 36, the final book of that series.

My vision was no better today, and might even be a bit worse - it's difficult to tell because all I have is a single, simple benchmark. I haven't yet bothered to get an eye chart, although I really should if this is going to keep happening. I stayed home again, and as is usually the case when I decide to stay home for health reasons, I questioned my motives and whether I really couldn't safely work for the day. A walk to get pizza for lunch let me know that my judgment was sound, as I couldn't focus on the text of any of the signs along the route. I think forcing my eyes to focus on text in this condition is probably bad for them - I might train them to adjust for a temporary condition and strain them permanently. So I've tried to avoid looking at too much text and stick with videos and games where I don't have to do much reading. I have little choice but to do some driving over the weekend, but I don't think it's critical to get my tires rotated, especially if I don't put in a full week of work next week either. I can only even write this entry in parts, looking away every so often. My eyes are starting to hurt a bit (which I don't think is related to the vision problems, but who knows?), so I plan to get to sleep and rest as much as I can over the weekend.

Yes, I'm THAT Nidoking. Sometimes I write fanfiction... often I waste all my time playing video games and watching anime. But it's not a waste if I enjoy it, right? I can quote from a movie, video game, anime series, or British comedy apropos of just about any situation, and one of my main goals in life is to entertain people. (The other big one is amassing as much anime and manga as I can... see below for a progress report.) That's me in a nutshell. ("Help! I'm trapped in a nutshell! What a bloody great nutshell this is!")
