Today's Bridge: We missed a sacrifice on the first hand that I think we just never recovered from. I opened 1S in third seat with S A-J-9-x-x-x-x H A-J D J-x-x C Q. Dan C. doubled, and Jerry bid 2C. I jumped to 3S, and Dan doubled that as well, prompting Dan H. to bid 4H. I felt I'd said enough and left it up to Jerry whether to defend or sacrifice. He didn't have much power, but he had K-x of spades, so we couldn't have been off more than two. I followed with a 1NT, they made 3C with two overtricks, and we finished the game first with 2S. Then it was Jerry's turn to declare 1NT, but the opponents finished the rubber and had all the power in the follow-up hand.

Today's Work: We still had a few things to wrap up - one that came up during testing, and another that we wanted to do earlier, but there was a bit of a miscommunication, or a mixup of priorities. So we're doing all of that and then whatever else we can take on. It was a nice, early day, so I made it home in time to record another group session, this time the first part of Goblins 3. We may have had some audio issues, but I believe the end product will work out.

Yes, I'm THAT Nidoking. Sometimes I write fanfiction... often I waste all my time playing video games and watching anime. But it's not a waste if I enjoy it, right? I can quote from a movie, video game, anime series, or British comedy apropos of just about any situation, and one of my main goals in life is to entertain people. (The other big one is amassing as much anime and manga as I can... see below for a progress report.) That's me in a nutshell. ("Help! I'm trapped in a nutshell! What a bloody great nutshell this is!")
