Today's Bridge: A pretty fierce contest, but I really misjudged a hand and paid for it dearly. I had S K-10-x H A-Q-J-x D x-x C Q-J-x-x, so I opened 1NT (Precision), Ken doubled, and Dan H. responded 2C (Stayman). I bid 2H, and Ken cut in again with 2S. Both Dans passed, which convinced me that my partner must have a four-card spade suit and Ken clearly had six, leaving his partner void. With one guaranteed trump trick, another likely, and some ruffing possibilities in partner's hand, I doubled. Unfortunately, he was transferring to 3C and just didn't follow through on it. I think that makes sense, but I feel that over my double, he should have corrected. I also didn't manage to double a wild 3D off four. I considered it, but didn't, which is a big part of why I was willing to double so foolishly later.

Today's Work: I delved into the data from the calculation that was crashing with the wrong inputs and figured out how to tell when the inputs were wrong. At least as far as I can tell, it shows an error message instead of crashing now. I started doing some audits, but since this is my first set, I'm going to need to get some feedback on whether it's a good format before I do the rest of them the same way. We're making progress in other areas, but the short duration of this sprint hasn't done us any favors.

I was doing fine, and then I started feeling pretty bad right at bedtime, so it's super late. I don't even know if I'm ready to sleep yet, but I'm hoping I'll be okay tomorrow. At least I had medicine for it.

Yes, I'm THAT Nidoking. Sometimes I write fanfiction... often I waste all my time playing video games and watching anime. But it's not a waste if I enjoy it, right? I can quote from a movie, video game, anime series, or British comedy apropos of just about any situation, and one of my main goals in life is to entertain people. (The other big one is amassing as much anime and manga as I can... see below for a progress report.) That's me in a nutshell. ("Help! I'm trapped in a nutshell! What a bloody great nutshell this is!")
