Celebrating birthdays the right way

Today was Mom's birthday, and it went better than expected. I gave her a funny card with a movie theater gift card inside to distract her from the real present - I snuck into the room with the Wii U and put in a download code for the Hyrule Warriors Hero of Hyrule DLC pack. Then we went to lunch and shopping while it downloaded, so when we got back (and finished watching Logopolis), she got all of the DLC when she started the game. We spent the rest of the evening playing it except for a dinner break. Dinner was South of the Border - not exactly what leaps to mind when you think birthday dinners, and I think our server was very distracted - it took her so long to get to our table that she offered us free queso, probably because the manager stopped by first to see whether we'd been served yet. She never offered me a refill of my tea, and she seemed very uninterested in us the whole time. The food was good, at least.

Signature

Yes, I'm THAT Nidoking. Sometimes I write fanfiction... often I waste all my time playing video games and watching anime. But it's not a waste if I enjoy it, right? I can quote from a movie, video game, anime series, or British comedy apropos of just about any situation, and one of my main goals in life is to entertain people. (The other big one is amassing as much anime and manga as I can... see below for a progress report.) That's me in a nutshell. ("Help! I'm trapped in a nutshell! What a bloody great nutshell this is!")
