Today's Bridge: I don't think the opponents made any hands, but they didn't declare many. I declared most of them and I think I missed as many as I made. The problem is that I don't remember any particularly noteworthy hands - there was one where Dan C. pushed me up to 3D because that's what we needed for game, and I made that one. He sacrificed in 4S in the final hand to keep the opponents out of a 4H that was most likely makeable, but could have been a challenge - I had the king of clubs behind the ace and the A-J-x of hearts, and we had all of the spade honors, so Paul's singleton was worth a trick for us. If I get the jack of hearts, they're set. As it was, we were off two undoubled vulnerable, which isn't horrible.

Today's Work: I spent most of the day integrating a change that the task lead gave me, so we could display a very useful piece of information that a lot of people have been asking about. It needed some cleaning up and tweaking, which was left to me because I was the one who had time to do it. I got it looking good, and then figured out how to stream the video to my laptop - it's more complicated than I could reasonably make it sound.

The Bridge stuff I ordered came in today, including five more Victor Mollo books to read through and a new set of plastic cards for the bidding boxes at work. Tomorrow, I guess we'll see whether they were worth the cost. I can't imagine I'll be playing. At least I recorded a commentary tonight, although I don't think I liked it very much. It was a short video, so a second take would probably go better. I may try it just to see.

Yes, I'm THAT Nidoking. Sometimes I write fanfiction... often I waste all my time playing video games and watching anime. But it's not a waste if I enjoy it, right? I can quote from a movie, video game, anime series, or British comedy apropos of just about any situation, and one of my main goals in life is to entertain people. (The other big one is amassing as much anime and manga as I can... see below for a progress report.) That's me in a nutshell. ("Help! I'm trapped in a nutshell! What a bloody great nutshell this is!")
