There's no hump on my hump day

Training today went reasonably well - the topics were pretty simple, largely because it would have been impossible to cover them in any depth, so it was more of an overview and a glimpse of how much we could eventually do with it if we have vision and javadocs. But it was all just a lead-up to the evening, when my dad drove four hours just to hang out with me for a few hours and have dinner and drinks (root beer for me, coffee for him). Dinner was at the sushi place near the hot dog place where I got dinner last night, and it was as good as you could expect from Japanese cuisine - we got a sushi plate to share and a bowl of donburi each. The red bean ice cream was just vanilla with red bean topping, but it was still ice cream. And I'm pretty sure that was my first time having salmon roe sushi. It was sweeter and less salty than I was expecting. Really good stuff. We talked a lot about the past and a bit about the present and future, and it was a great midpoint for the week. I usually forget to be happy when I make a good decision, but I'm glad I decided to call and ask if he wanted to spend some time together. And very glad I got a data plan with texting so I could receive his reply text.

Yes, I'm THAT Nidoking. Sometimes I write fanfiction... often I waste all my time playing video games and watching anime. But it's not a waste if I enjoy it, right? I can quote from a movie, video game, anime series, or British comedy apropos of just about any situation, and one of my main goals in life is to entertain people. (The other big one is amassing as much anime and manga as I can... see below for a progress report.) That's me in a nutshell. ("Help! I'm trapped in a nutshell! What a bloody great nutshell this is!")
