Today's Bridge: My streak of screwing up on defense continues unabated - I failed to lead a spade in a 3NT through Paul's six to the A-Q into Dan H.'s K-J - I had a second spade and the king of diamonds for an eventual entry, although Paul kept sluffing hearts, marking me with the Q-x-x under the board's A-K-J-x, so he may have had enough tricks in hearts and clubs to go with the spade and the diamond. I held up an ace of diamonds and let Dan C. have a singleton king, but that seems a little less obvious to me even in retrospect. I made at least one sacrifice that was probably inadvisable - I knew it was going down hard, but the opponents might have had a game and I didn't want them to know.

Today's Work: Mostly finishing up the last of the preparations for training, but we didn't have an available Windows laptop, so I just waited until I got home and downloaded the software onto this laptop. It's more convenient, because it means I can use my own laptop while I train and still have access to all of my usual programs and bookmarks and stuff.

I tried to do commentary last night and had two false starts. I'm hoping to have another go tonight, because I really don't think this video should be that hard to comment on, and there are some great parts of the game coming up. There are always great parts of the game coming up.

Yes, I'm THAT Nidoking. Sometimes I write fanfiction... often I waste all my time playing video games and watching anime. But it's not a waste if I enjoy it, right? I can quote from a movie, video game, anime series, or British comedy apropos of just about any situation, and one of my main goals in life is to entertain people. (The other big one is amassing as much anime and manga as I can... see below for a progress report.) That's me in a nutshell. ("Help! I'm trapped in a nutshell! What a bloody great nutshell this is!")
