Things are going as well as they can

The temperature this morning was above freezing, so I considered driving to work, but with a Winter Weather Advisory kicking in at noon, it seemed safer to stay at home, and I had a diagram waiting for me in my E-mail so I had something to work on. I spent the day doing that and was gratified to hear that in the afternoon, the weather was getting pretty bad and traffic was stopped in both directions on the way home. For once, I made a good choice, and the word is that people will probably be staying home in droves tomorrow. At least for now, things don't look too bad with a thin coat of snow, but this is supposed to be the lightest of it and they're calling for an inch or two overnight, with more further south and west. While I don't like the idea of driving in tomorrow, I might have to - I've got an HOA meeting tomorrow, though, and if I drive in, I'll have to leave early. WAY early, if the roads are that bad. The downside is that entering my time from home is a pain, and I'll have to see whether I even have the numbers I need available. I believe I do.

I did a Psychonauts commentary this evening, even though someone decided it would be a good idea to link to a speed run of the entire game with developer commentary right on the first page of my thread. It's hardly the end of the world, but it's tacky and, in my mind, a bit rude to suggest that people go watch another playthrough while I'm just getting mine started. Oh well. At least feedback is mostly good so far, largely people expressing their love for the game itself (which is good), with a few people commenting on the video quality. Admittedly, it's not the best that could be done, but it's the best I've got the hardware for.

Yes, I'm THAT Nidoking. Sometimes I write fanfiction... often I waste all my time playing video games and watching anime. But it's not a waste if I enjoy it, right? I can quote from a movie, video game, anime series, or British comedy apropos of just about any situation, and one of my main goals in life is to entertain people. (The other big one is amassing as much anime and manga as I can... see below for a progress report.) That's me in a nutshell. ("Help! I'm trapped in a nutshell! What a bloody great nutshell this is!")
