It was nice getting back to the office so I could hook up the software from yesterday to the device and test it. It turned out that there were some serious problems - I'd recognized that I had severe memory leaks and added free calls, but I put them in the wrong place - I freed the messages after I sent them, but those same messages sit in a queue until I get the response so I can compare the response to the original message, and I need to free them then. It's fortunate, because that's one free call as opposed to one every time I send any kind of message. It probably means nothing to you if you don't work in C. Or even if you do. I even got a feature working that I was mostly just dabbling in. There are a few things I still need to do, but I know it all works now, so that's the critical part.

That's really it for the day. No Bridge, nothing particularly exciting online, although I had a series of great desk-flipping jokes on Twitter, and I'm really determined to have a more positive self-image now. It's important to people I know. And technically also to me, but that's hard to care about. For now. I'll get the hang of it eventually.

Yes, I'm THAT Nidoking. Sometimes I write fanfiction... often I waste all my time playing video games and watching anime. But it's not a waste if I enjoy it, right? I can quote from a movie, video game, anime series, or British comedy apropos of just about any situation, and one of my main goals in life is to entertain people. (The other big one is amassing as much anime and manga as I can... see below for a progress report.) That's me in a nutshell. ("Help! I'm trapped in a nutshell! What a bloody great nutshell this is!")
