Argh. The stuff we were supposed to have finished by the end of yesterday was STILL being worked this morning, and the test set we've been using for encryption stuff was devoted to that effort, so we had to move the test outside. Ultimately, it didn't work. When I left, they were still trying to figure out what was wrong, the network configuration still wasn't right (they had to make BIOS changes to fix that one), and I won't even be on site tomorrow to keep up with events. Then I learned that someone's been sitting on a high-priority fix for three weeks and didn't figure out that I'm in charge to tell me about it until today. So I had to reject that change - what he wrote was wrong, so I knew he hadn't tested it, and we didn't have time for that. It's a shame - it looked like a good fix in principle, but we're way past our deadline. I hate having to treat things that way, but that's the nature of the project.

Also, it was a pretty bad morning, like most of the rest of the mornings this week. I don't have high hopes for tomorrow, but at least there isn't much room for decline. Here's to tomorrow! May it be less painful to my throat and less tiring to my... tiredness. I have many important things to do and only a few hours to do them.

Yes, I'm THAT Nidoking. Sometimes I write fanfiction... often I waste all my time playing video games and watching anime. But it's not a waste if I enjoy it, right? I can quote from a movie, video game, anime series, or British comedy apropos of just about any situation, and one of my main goals in life is to entertain people. (The other big one is amassing as much anime and manga as I can... see below for a progress report.) That's me in a nutshell. ("Help! I'm trapped in a nutshell! What a bloody great nutshell this is!")
