Rhythm Purgatory, maybe?

Today's Bridge: We didn't get a bunch of terrible hands! We got off to a pretty quick start with S A-K-Q-J-x-x H 10 D A-Q-x C K-J-x opposite Ken's S 10-x-x H A-x-x D x-x-x C A-10-x-x or so. Whatever the exact hands were, the only trick I lost was misguessing the club finesse, although I really didn't care at that point. The opponents landed in a 2S that they couldn't make due to a pretty bad trump split, and I think I had a 14 point hand that I couldn't bid at all - I had four diamonds and four spades, which were their suits. I bid the diamonds anyway, but they ended up in spades. We ended with a 3NT that Ken made without a problem, and it was on to the second rubber. Highlights were a 5C sacrifice off two, which I was proud of even though most of my success was due to some interesting defense setting up tricks for me, and a jump to game with slightly less trump than I should probably have had, but Ken made the doubled contract. I did bid us into a 5D that was probably unwise, but I think it was makeable - after Ken had pulled trump and used the last entry to my hand, he had a good club to cash and could have thrown away his singleton king of hearts on it.

Today's Work: I actually got back to programming, finally deciding that the only usable way to work with the new data I need is to send it to the device and see what happens. The only tricky part was deciding to use NaN as the initial value of the variables - it's not as easy to work with as it seems like it should be. I've also got some questions to answer, but I'm sitting on those for now.

I'm having more fun with Rhythm Heaven now that it works on my TV, but I should definitely be devoting more time to my LP for the moment. It's just that at the end of the day, when I've watched all the videos and there are only ten minutes left to do anything fun, it's pretty much the perfect game. If only I could play it for less than half an hour at a time.
