I also hated the Skyward Sword boss because they didn't ever explain something.

Today's Bridge: I had a lot of terrible hands, including one with no points but six diamonds. The opponents got two games with a few overtricks each in short order. The bidding in the final hand was pretty interesting, though. I had S A-K-x-x-x H x-x D A-x-x-x C x-x. Mike opened 1C to my left, Ken overcalled 1H, and Paul passed, so I bid 1S. Mike jumped to 3D, and Ken returned to 3H. Paul bid 4C, so I bid 4D, intending to indicate that I had control of the suit and that Ken should choose between the two suits we'd bid. He nearly passed with his singleton diamond, but fortunately, he had seven hearts to the A-K-Q-J and bid 4H. Mike doubled, but we made it, losing the two clubs and a spade that Ken conceded at the end. 4S is makeable if the spades split 3-2, since I can pull two rounds, start running hearts until someone ruffs in with the top trump, then ruff a diamond back to the board to finish the hearts. However, Mike had the singleton queen, so I can't maintain control of the hearts and I'm hard-pressed to avoid losing too many diamonds.

Today's Work: I got a new task, sort of... more of a return to a task they took from me ages ago that they've suddenly decided they want done again. Good luck with that. Except that's good luck to me, the guy who has to do it. I hope we get some documentation for it, or that the problems aren't nearly as bad as I've been led to believe. I expect to spend most of tomorrow trying to parse messages by hand.
