Got some new stuff to do at work today, so tomorrow's plan is to draft up a quick report on the problems they sent us... mostly little stuff that's either already fixed (I'm THAT good), would be prohibitively difficult to fix (unless I get lucky and the inactive functionality I've found actually works... usually not the case, because it's deactivated for a reason), or goes against our requirements. So I'm going to give my perspective on each problem and let them decide how they want to handle it. At least I'm keeping busy while waiting for the testing hardware to come back... and not, say, hanging out on Livejournal all day waiting for people to post or comment so I'll have something to reply to. Not at all...
Today's Bridge: Why not? Paul and I teamed up against Dan and Paul S., and for a while, we were playing to lose. Off one, off two, off three, finally made 1NT with an overtrick, off one again, and then we made 2S exactly in the last hand to win the rubber by 80 points. Not much of note in the bidding or the play, I don't think, although Paul doesn't like the delayed-raise-means-three-card-support bids that I thought were rather fundamental in Standard American. Strangely, he likes first-round support being three cards (for a major) and more than that a delayed raise after showing more features. Difference of opinion that we'll need to work out at some point, I'd say.
A bit more work on FCM, an episode of Utena (early on, because I rather expected a call later on, and then I insisted because my friend is dyslexic and was having trouble reading GTP, so I asked her to let me read it to her), and the call I just mentioned, another FF7-less evening, and I'm going to go watch an episode of Azumanga Daioh before bed.
Tonight's "guess the reference of the day": *sniff* Delicious! *sniff* Delicious! EVERYTHING smells more delicious when you're rich! *sniff* Even me!
Now don't make me hurt you. Apparently, I have wrist-blades.
