Video review of Black Ninja. Hilarious.

Today's Bridge: Keith had the time to join us, so we actually had a table. Dan bid us to a slam with S K-J-10-x-x H K-Q-x D K-x-x C K-x to match my S 8-x-x H A-J-x-x D A-Q-J-x C A-J. It was in hearts. Fortunately, the hearts split and Keith had the A-Q of spades to my left, giving me the two spade tricks I needed. I managed to botch our final 2S, though. With S 8-7-6-5-x H J-x-x D Q-x-x C K-x, I wasn't planning to bid at all, but Paul opened 1C and Keith responded 1H, and Dan doubled. After Paul bid 2C, I figured my spade suit was long enough to take Dan's invitation at 2S. He had S Q-J-x H A-K-Q-x D K-x-x C Q-10-x. I covered Keith's club lead with the ten, jack, king and led a spade to the queen and Paul's king. He led a heart, which I let go to the board's queen, and I led the jack of spades to Paul's ace. He cashed the ten, then led a diamond, which the king took. At this point, I could have made the contract by running the remaining hearts and sluffing either the diamond or club loser from my hand, but I decided to go for the diamond, and Keith had been holding the ace. They cashed a diamond and the club ace to set me. Oops. But we swept the first rubber, including that vulnerable slam.

Today's Work: More research into the new technology, including downloading all of the XML schemas. Does anyone know how to read one of those things? As far as I can tell, it's nothing but a bunch of cross-references. I think I've got all of the schemas that were cross-referenced, but something has to define something in its own terms somewhere, doesn't it?

Blue raspberry soda turns my tongue blue. I have a blueberry for a tongue. On the plus side, I have a raspberry for a soda.
