Today's Bridge: We had seven people, and I got the top number. We won by an overtrick in the end - each side got a two-trick set followed by a major game and then a one-trick set. Mike said that our first contract was makeable, but I wasn't paying enough attention to notice. Mine was a 4S with S J-x-x-x H A-x D K-J-x-x C J-x-x opposite S A-K-Q H K-Q-x-x-x D x-x-x C A-x. I let the opening club lead run to Keith's queen, and he led back a heart, which I obligingly took with the ace. Three rounds of trump left Paul holding one, so I led a diamond. Keith took the ace and led a low diamond, which I covered with the king so I could pull the last trump. Finally, I crossed with a heart, and when they split, I didn't even need to worry about giving up a heart trick to establish them with the ace of clubs as the entry.
Today's Work: I did stuff. I got my diagrams done, except for adding some threads. Now it's all text.
I had some success last night with a box of Ritz crackers and a block of cheese. Might do that again tonight while I watch House, but I'll have to run downstairs during the commercial break to get it. Like, now.
